If you’re looking for a luxury hotel with a difference in Singapore this is the place for you. The Scarlet is truly spectacular, and they’ve got the awards to prove it – 2008 Singapore Tatler Best Boutique Hotel, 2008 TTG Travel Awards Best Boutique Hotel and the list goes on.
I stayed in one of the standard rooms and it was just beautiful. The attention to detail in the finishings was unfaultable (and yes, I kept the slippers). The biggest downfall that was the only window was a sky light. If you’ve got the means, stay in one of the Suites. There are 5 unique designs to select from.
This hotel really comes in to it’s own with it’s bar and roof top restaurant. The downstairs bar, BOLD, is beautifully opulent. It also serves a damn fine mojito! The roof top bar and grill is called BREEZE and, as the name suggests, the moment you sit down you’ll be whisked around from the hustle and bustle of Singapore’s Chinatown district.
Enjoy yourself in Singapore, lah!

I was fortunate enough to stay at The Scarlet with my beautiful wife a few years ago and I have to agree. The decor is very impressive and whilst the rooms are a little on the small size it was a very memorable experience. Particularly liked the high backed bar couches fit for a king and queen.
